Message from the Artist~
These little pastel hearts symbolize the joy of Valentine’s Day! Their slightly chalky texture and sweet mild flavors remind me of a simpler time when a candy heart with just the right message could make your day! These nostalgic childhood treats seem to be timeless. Each generation remembers them as a Valentines tradition. I teach Kindergarten and every February I watch as my kids sort through the box of tinny hearts with the same playful excitement that I remember from years ago. When creating a Valentine’s collection, I just had to capture these joyful little hearts on canvas! What memories do they bring back for you?
